Nintendo 3DS debuted on Sunday and the breakthrough 3D device is making waves throughout the computing and entertainment world.

This system is made up of several years of advanced research and development and should prove that Nintendo knows it’s 3D and what customers want from it.

Hideki Konno who is a director and producer of some of the company’s most profitable franchises and
a key intellect in the development of this new 3D technology said that playing games in 3D,

Konno revealed:

“It is something that we’ve been continually testing and working on at Nintendo,we’ve never actually stopped looking at 3D as a viable product,”

And continued,

“and it just so happens that the technology in the marketplace now coincides with what we wanted to do. So actually, it was just very fortuitous timing.”

Nintendo figures that it will sell 4 million of the new 3DS units this month alone.
Considering their history it sounds like they’ll sell far more than that and with the Summer and holidays at the end of the year if this system lives up to the hype they’ll dominate the gaming market and will have to boost the hardware even more.

Pre-sale data proves this out as this game system shows more promise than any other gaming system of the past decade. That’s saying something as that means it’s beating out the various PlayStation consoles and Xbox and more.

Seeing as this system doesn’t require glasses it means players can enjoy themselves unencumbered. This truly a major breakthrough in gaming and may well be followed by total changes in the way we view the web, pictures, videos and more. Can you imagine a phone or computer screen that can view 3D without glasses?
