Mark Pincus On Zynga & Google of Gaming – The founder of Zynga claims that he wants his company to be the Google of gaming according to the New York Times. Many people will not have heard of Zynga yet, but those who have FaceBook are likely to be fans of one of his most successful games: Farmville. Other popular games from Zynga include Café World, FishVille, PetVille, YoVille, and perhaps the most successful, Mafia Wars. The founder, 44, hasn’t claimed that he wants to be the Google of social gaming, rather just games in general. However, the majority of Zynga games revolve around social networking as it stands.

Fortunately, money doesn’t seem to be an issue, especially since Google injected a cash sum into the company. It is also reported that Zynga are on their way to making a huge five hundred million dollars this year. Zynga currently provides social networks with some of the most successful networking games in the world. FarmVille in particular is the most popular game on FaceBook with the majority of users competing to create and maintain the best farm. If Zynga keeps creating games like this then there is no reason why the founder Mark Pinus will not be able to reach his goal of being the Google of gaming. Only time will tell, but Zynga looks to have a very bright future ahead of them, especially where social networking games are concerned.
