Call Of Duty: Black Ops Record Sales – Setting an extremely impressive record of $360 million in the first day of its release, Black Ops managed to break a record that no other title has been able to do because of the decreasing sales from consumers all across the board. Sales for the latest Call of Duty game went above and beyond anything that marketing strategists or the designers themselves ever imagined. It easily beat out “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” in terms of sales as well as all other games this year.

The sales figures that have been recorded for this game are only for the UK and the United States, though they are still very impressive considering what the previous games sold.

To give an idea as to just how anticipated this game was, there were around 12,000 retail stores that stayed open till midnight in order to sell copies of the game to players that just could not wait to get their own copies right away. The Call of Duty game franchise is available for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 as well as PC. In a time where video game sales are not doing well at all, the latest Call of Duty is good news for this industry that was beginning to give up all hope of retaining its former glory.
